Dear Camper,
As Camp Life 2008 approaches, a color comes to my mind. The color is silver. Silver in the Bible always
speaks of redemption
and then of course, silver also speaks of a twenty-fifth year anniversary. This is my twenty-fifth year as director of Camp Life International.
As I say that, my mind is flooded with an infinite amount of memories over these past 25 years. When I think of the thousands of campers that have come through our program I am so grateful that we have had the opportunity
to be involved in this great ministry; at the same time in my mind and in my heart I am wondering, where are those children now and how are they doing?
Certainly this is a year for us to celebrate and not only is it an anniversary
for me, but it is also going to be one of the most unique camp programs in our history. Why you ask? This year we are going to do something unparalleled; because of time constraints and the onset of new school schedules, we are going to run both our Junior Camp and our Teen Camp simultaneously. How can we possibly do it? It is going to be a great undertaking but Camp Starlight provides us with the needed facility and the availability of our volunteer staff makes this great challenge possible as well. It is going to be quite a week together for this year’s Camp Life program.
We hope that the week we have chosen for Camp Life makes it possible
for you to join us without interfering with the start of your new school year. This year’s camp program is going to be bigger and better
than ever before. As we combine our two programs into one week, you can count on a superior quality as this has always been the goal for everyone associated. Camp Starlight is a facility with more than enough room to adequately provide the needs of both the Junior and Teen Campers.
Once again, we expect that this one week of Camp will be both life changing and historical. Twenty-five years later we are doing something
a little different, but we expect from God the same great blessing
and awesome results that we’ve had during the past years. It’s going to be a tremendous week, but remember that it is only going to be one full week this year for Juniors and Teens, so make your plans now, circle those dates on your calendar and we will see you at Camp Life 2008!
Because of Grace,
Pastor John Love
